You can use this form to ask a general question or to report an issue on the site.

Carbon Black Technical Academy is available Monday - Friday, 8 am – 6 pm ET, excluding the following holidays:

Step 1: Click Log In in the upper right corner of the page.

Step 2: Click Create New Account.

Step 3: Read and agree to the site agreements. (You must agree to the site policies in order to create an account.)

Step 4: Complete the form, selecting an appropriate username and password.

A username can ONLY contain:
  • Lowercase letters
  • Numbers
  • Specific symbols (- _ . @)
Passwords must have at least 8 characters and at least one of each of the following:
  • Number
  • Lowercase letter
  • Uppercase letter
  • Non-alphanumeric character

Note: Because only Carbon Black customers, partners, and employees may create accounts on Carbon Black Technical Academy, DO NOT use a personal email address. Use a work email address.

Ensure your First and Last name are entered correctly, as this is the name that will appear on certificates of attendance and completion.

You MUST enter your company name. Both your company name and email address are used to verify your eligibility.

Step 5: Click Create my new account.

If eligible and our system can identify your company and email address, you will be automatically approved. You should receive an email containing steps to confirm your account.

Step 6: Click the link in the email to confirm your account and complete the process.

Step 1: Click your name to expand the user menu and select Profile.

Step 2: Click Edit Profile just below User details and edit your account information.

  Ensure that your timezone is correctly set so that class times are accurately shown for you.

Step 3: Once you have made changes, click the Update profile button.

Step 3: Once you have selected the appropriate timezone, click the Update profile button.

To protect the highly proprietary information contained in CB Technical Academy it is imperative that we verify all users. Since the system was not able to verify you, your account request has been deferred. A member of the CB Training Team will contact you within 24 business hours to provide assistance.

Step 1: From the top navigation bar, click Enroll.

The Course Catalog page will display, showing both on-demand courses and training classes.

On-demand courses are not led by instructors. They provide self-paced learning activities that you can complete on your own time.
Instructor-led training classes are virtual sessions led by a trainer. They provide comprehensive product training and hands on exercises.
Note: If you are searching for a virtual training class, you can filter on trainer, product, and time zone.

Step 2: Expand the desired course and click Enroll.

Note: Most courses will require a unique, single-use enrollment code to gain access.

Step 3: If an enrollment code is required, enter it into the provided field and click Enroll.

When registering for a course, you may require an enrollment code to get access.

This ticketing system allows us to tracker learner enrollments. Each enrollment code can only be used one time for one learner and is on a prepaid basis. You must first purchase your training through your Carbon Black account manager to receive an enrollment code.

Check with the person in your company that manages the Carbon Black relationship or contract for more information on purchasing training or obtaining an enrollment code, if already purchased.

The enrollment code will be sent to your company's contact person in an email.

Step 1: From the top navigation bar, click the My Courses dropdown.

Step 2: Click on the course you would like to reschedule.

Step 3: Locate the Virtual Training Sessions section of the course page and click More Info.

Step 4: Click Cancel booking.


If you would like to reschedule the session, continue to Step 5.

Step 5: Enter your reason for cancelling in the space and click Yes to confirm your cancellation.

Step 6: After confirming, you are returned to the course page. Under the Virtual Training Sessions section, review the upcoming available course times.

To see all available sessions, click View all sessions.

Step 7: Locate your desired session, and click Sign-up at the end of that session’s row.

Step 8: Confirm your enrollment in the new session by clicking Sign-up on the following page.

Your new rescheduled date and time will now be reflected on the course page under the Virtual Training Sessions section.

Step 1: From the top navigation bar, click the My Courses dropdown.

Step 2: Click on the course you are looking for. This will take your to the course page.

Step 3: As long as you have met all criteria to complete a course, your certificate of completion will appear in the Course Completion section.

Materials can be distributed for a class in two different ways:

  1. Certain materials could be available upon enrollment in a class on the course page.
  2. Additional materials may be distributed upon the start of the virtual training session.
    Please join your virtual training class on time and your trainer will distribute the materials at this time or direct you to where you can find them on this site.

Step 1: From the top navigation bar, click the My Courses dropdown.

Step 2: Click on the appropriate course.

Step 3: Locate the Virtual Training Sessions section of the course page and click More Info.

Step 4: From this page, click the Join WebEx meeting link.

Once in the WebEx session, you can connect to audio through your PC or you may dial in via conference call. The conference call number appears on the WebEx meeting launch page and also is visible from within the WebEx session.

Note: Once class begins, the More Info link is no longer available.
